About
Us Since 1967,
the Pleasant Valley Historical Society has made it its mission to
identify, acquire, and provide classification and conservation measures
to local historical artifacts, art, buildings, landmarks, photographs,
documents and other forms of information.
PVHS is dedicated to serving the community by preserving and
presenting the history of the Pleasant Valley area, as well as sharing
our rich heritage with all residents of the County of Ventura, Southern
California and nationally.
Our
current museum facility first opened its doors in 1988. With a
charter that makes it the only broad based historical museum in the
local area, PVHS is embarking on a multi-year plan to fund and acquire a
greatly expanded facility to better meet the needs of the Pleasant
Valley area. This facility will house and display many more exhibits,
many that cannot be presently displayed because of space limitations,
and allow an increased number of programs for youth and adults. Our exciting
facility plans will make PVHS a significant historical resource for
those interested in the Pleasant Valley, yet our ability to accomplish
these goals depends on people like you that are willing to help our good
cause by becoming a member. Please join
us today. Rates are economical and your financial support is tax
deductible to the extent permitted by law
